About Me

Hi! I’m Siqing, a UX designer with a background in landscape design and theme-park concept planning. I’m passionate about creating joyful, intuitive experiences that connect people, nature, and technology. My work is driven by curiosity, empathy, and a desire to design solutions that genuinely make life better.

My Story

I’ve always loved nature. That passion led me to study landscape design during my undergraduate years, where I dreamed of bringing the natural world I adored into urban spaces. But nature, as beautiful as it is, is quiet — and I wanted my designs to speak, to interact, and to spark joy.

After graduating, I became a concept planner for theme parks. I hoped to create spaces where children could feel happiness, families could share moments of wonder, and everyone could experience a little utopia filled with play and nature.

But after two years, I realized something important: my imagination was big, but my understanding of people—different users, different needs—was still limited.

That realization led me to pursue an MFA in UX Design at SCAD. I wanted to learn how to observe people through scientific and thoughtful methods, to understand problems from the user’s perspective, and to design solutions that genuinely serve them.

I believe that one day, with the right balance of empathy, strategy, and creativity, I will create a joyful utopia that truly belongs to everyone.

Traveling is my favorite way to explore the world’s vastness and diversity. I love meeting people from different cultures and languages, feeling the warmth, surprises, and beauty this world has to offer. The farther my footsteps take me, the bigger my world becomes.
